Originally designed by Baktoid Combat Automata for the Trade Federation, B1 Combat Droids were later mass-produced for the Separatist Alliance during the Clone Wars. The main manufacturing facilities are located on the planet Geonosis. 

They have no feelings, which makes them cruel. They are droids without individual thought. They know neither fear, nor cowardice, nor pity.
