THE STORY

In the hope of calming the Great Rift that is splitting the galaxy in two, Archimagos Belisarius Cawl invites representatives from all over the Imperium to the artificial world of Pontus Avernes. Confident in his ability to prove his genius to them, he seeks their support to discover the secrets of the pylon network, immense structures built by an ancient race and which he believes are capable of repelling the influence of warp. But among those present is an unwelcome guest: Fabius Bile himself.

The Pater Mutatis doesn't wait for his genius to be validated, and pursues his own goals, which lead him to set off a confrontation between the galaxy's greatest scientific minds, from which only one can emerge victorious.
